About me

Hello!

My name is Andrew. I am a data scientist and computational chemist based in the UK. I studied biotechnology at the University of Verona and at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in italy. During my master studies, I developed an interest in computational drug design so I stayed in Modena to do a PhD focused on the design of multi-targeted ligands. Following my PhD, I spent four more years in the academia as a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer between the University of Modena and the University of Bonn (Germany). That time gave me the opportunity to further my research in the field of structure- and ligand-based drug design. Since 2018, I’ve been working in the industry covering positions spanning computational chemistry support to drug discovery projects, cheminfomatics, and data science. In my free time, I enjoy playing basketball in an amateur basketball league.
